The Community Association for West Hampstead is a community led organisation set up to improve the quality of life of everyone living in the West Hampstead area. We currently have three projects:
The West Hampstead Community Centre which is a fabulous hub for the community to come together and take part in a range of fun and exciting activities from street dance to social group or art classes.
The Older Peoples’ Outreach Project is what it says……we have a part time worker who goes out into the community to support those older people in the community and help them to remain active, healthy and independent. We ask people what they would like to see and work with partners to try and respond to the needs. We work through GP’s, district nurses, residential homes and sheltered housing units to try and locate those people who may be becoming lonely or isolated.
The Sports Pilot Project 2012 is a project running to address some of the needs for young people in the are from 11 to 16yrs. Weekly sessions of Sports and fun activities will be run mainly from Fortune Green Play Centre between May and September 2012.
Please contact us for more information on any of the areas mentioned above.
